Calcium, Vitamin C, B12, Iron, those are some of the more common vitamins and minerals that first come to mind when you think of health and wellness. But let's not overlook Zinc. Both Zinc and Iron are found in every cell and for a reason. With an arsenal of uses, Zinc helps boost immunity, wound healing, a wonderful antioxidant, and even, helps with acne.
I love the holiday season as much as the next guy, but I will not compromise my health and wellness. That being said, I will go to great lengths as to not miss out on seeing out-of-town friends and family for a good Friendsgiving. Incorporating Zinc into my routine helps not only with boosting immunity for prevention against cold and flu, but when taken at the beginning of a cold, it is shown to shorten the length of time you have the symptoms.
Helping support your immune system is just the tip of the iceberg. Zinc has been demonstrated to improve acne, mood, wound healing, and help with fertility, and fighting free radicals in the body. That seems like a lot of power that a small dose of Zinc can offer.
